The design is inspired by Xuanwu (玄武), one of the Four Sacred Symbols in Chinese mythology. Representing the North, the winter season, and the element of water, Xuanwu is traditionally depicted as a Black Tortoise entwined with a serpent, symbolizing endurance, protection, wisdom, and resilience. The sneaker incorporates these themes through a palette of deep black, charcoal, and muted blue tones, premium nubuck and suede construction, and subtle reptile-inspired textures that reference the mythical serpent and tortoise.
